Lauren Pringle is an avant-garde film maker with a strong approach to the mind, body and soul. On a mission to help people connect to their authentic selves, Lauren is often driven by deeply intuitive voices and visions for her work. Striving to keep her own voice in all her work accompanied by vivid imaginative backdrops, deep colors and as much social/political context as she can add, Lauren is a director who wants to say something. She is not satisfied with her work unless she gets goosebumps every time she watches it. Poetic performative play and visceral bodies are what drive her narratives. Influenced by social work, politics, fashion, performance art and her own work as a dancer, choreographer and background in theatre, she wants to create theatrics on camera and a sense of a deeply personal voice that people can relate to. Movement, music, contrasting cultures and the exploration of the body, nature, alchemy and magic is what inspires her practice.
