Rich Mnisi

Rich Mnisi is one of the African continent’s most prolific creative multihyphenates. The creative director & fashion designer grew up pop culture obsessed, with strong cultural roots of his own as a proud member of South Africa's Tsonga tribe and as a member of a family with inspiring matriarchs. This background has served as a key inspiration in his ever contemporary work, from fashion collections worn by Beyoncé, Ciara & Naomi Campbell, to a furniture design collection recently exhibited at Art Basel Miami.

Mnisi has cultivated a compelling and immediately recognisable visual language that effectively showcases his talent and sharp vision as a graphic surface & textile designer, story teller and creative director. It’s as versatile as he is, allowing him to change mediums with ease. Mnisi now brings his talents to film, or more accurately back to film: While he has more recently played a starring role in work produced by partners (Rich is a master collaborator who has worked with adidas, BMW and Johnny Walker), one of his first roles was as the director of his own fashion films. From blinding deserts to dark, dense forests, Rich’s vivid dreamscapes inspire viewers everywhere, every season, bringing the stories of each collection to life with an inimitable spark.
