Marie's goal in filmmaking is to understand not only how films are made, but also the influence of media on society and the individual. In order to get to know these structures, she started her career in marketing and communication. Above all, the increasing focus on social responsibility in the corporate world led Marie going into commercial film making. To further advance her storytelling approach, Marie completed a screenwriting master class with Hollywood producer Robin Swicord. Marie believes in creating lasting value for audiences and brands, aesthetic visuals must be combined with a deeper message. Currently Marie has a Hollywood documentary series on the effects of social media on beauty standards in pre-production.
